Healthy Building Inspections provides Building Biology consulting services for new and existing building projects throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. For renovations or new buildings I like to be contracted by the owner or lead party managing the project. However, my design/construction consulting typically involves the entire team: owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. I provide services for those just starting to build "green," and those who are ready to push the envelope. As an environmental scientist with years of construction and design-side consulting experience, I help get everyone on the same page about project goals for sustainability, and I also bring practical methods to the table for adding value and implementing the principles of Building Biology to projects of every size. Facilitate Eco-Charrette (early design visioning meeting) Site Assessments Design Reviews Specification Reviews & Materials Research Project Management for building rating systems (e.g., LEED, Build It Green, Green Guide for Health Care, etc.) Contractor Trainings (e.g., Waste Management Plans, IAQ protocols, etc.) I also provide Building Biology Assessments for existing buildings. These inspections focus on occupant-health related issues, such as poor air and water quality, and unhealthy levels of "electrosmog." Services include allergen testing of air and dust, mold and moisture surveys, electromagnetic radiation inspections, water quality sampling, and site assessments.
